The Sol-Ark 15K-2P is Sol-Ark’s flagship residential whole home hybrid solar inverter, delivering 15kW of solar input to support an entire home’s electrical load during grid outages. With six DC solar ports across three full-sized MPPTs and support for up to 19kW of AC coupling, it is one of the most flexible and powerful residential hybrid inverters available for solar installers today.

Certifications & Compliance

UL 1741 Listed | UL 1741 SA (Grid Support) | NEMA-3R Enclosure | 10-Year Manufacturer Warranty | NEC Rapid Shutdown Compliant

The 15K-2P uses DC-to-DC architecture to maximize round-trip efficiency, preserving more stored energy per cycle compared to AC-coupled-only systems. Its 275A battery charger and dual 48V battery ports allow pairing with larger storage arrays, while 200A grid pass-through supports heavy residential loads without service panel upgrades on most homes.

Frequently Asked Questions — Sol-Ark 15K-2P Hybrid Inverter

What is a hybrid inverter?

A hybrid inverter combines a solar inverter, battery charger, and automatic transfer switch in one unit. The Sol-Ark 15K can power your home from solar, charge connected batteries, and automatically switch to battery backup during a grid outage — all without manual intervention.

Does the Sol-Ark 15K work without batteries?

Yes. The Sol-Ark 15K operates in grid-tied solar-only mode without batteries. Battery storage can be added at any time to enable backup power. Note: without batteries, the inverter cannot provide backup power during a grid outage.

Can the Sol-Ark 15K operate off-grid?

Yes. The Sol-Ark 15K supports full off-grid operation — it can island from the grid and power your home entirely from solar and stored energy, with no grid connection required.

What batteries are compatible with the Sol-Ark 15K?

The Sol-Ark 15K has one of the widest open battery compatibility lists in the industry, supporting most major LFP battery brands via CAN/RS485. Contact us at (346) 432-4228 to confirm compatibility with your specific battery.

What warranty does the Sol-Ark 15K carry?

The Sol-Ark 15K carries a 10-year warranty. Sol-Ark is a U.S.-based company. As an authorized Sol-Ark distributor, Solwel supports warranty claims directly. Call us at (346) 432-4228.
