The FranklinWH aGate X is a microgrid interconnect device (MID) and whole-home energy management system that ties together solar, the utility grid, battery storage, and standby generators into a single intelligently controlled platform. Rated for 280A busbar capacity with a built-in power conversion system (PCS) function, it is engineered to avoid main panel upgrades on most residential installations - a key time and cost saver for solar installers.
The aGate X acts as the nerve center for the Franklin Home Power system. It monitors and controls all energy flows in real time, transitions the home to backup power within milliseconds of a grid outage, and supports black start capability for recovering from fully depleted battery states after extended outages or vacant-home scenarios.

The aGate X is required for full Franklin Home Power functionality and pairs exclusively with aPower 2 battery systems.
